Arbiter Diamond is available to serve as a labor and employment arbitrator through direct appointment of the parties or as a panel member of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), Washington PERC panel for police, Oregon Employment Relations Board, Los Angeles ERB, California Public Employment Relations Board, Nevada Employee-Management Relations Board, and the Montana Dispute Resolution Board. Currently, hearings are done over the Zoom video conference platform or in person.
In her previous career as an attorney, Arbiter Diamond practiced public and private sector labor law, including a robust civil rights and appellate practice. She is a founding member of the Oregon State Bar constitutional law section, a former member of the OSB Labor & Employment Section, and a frequent speaker for the Oregon State Bar. She clerked for Hon. Hans A. Linde, one of the founders of modern state constitutional law theory.
Arbiter Diamond has deep experience in labor relations, having worked as an advocate for over 30 years prior to opening her practice as a neutral. She works hard to get cases done within the time lines of the bargaining agreement. If her schedule does not allow an opinion to be issued within those timelines, she will decline the case.
Arbiter Diamond’s commitment to fairness is bone deep. She treats both sides of a dispute with equal dignity and respect. She also makes sure that the process is fully accessible to attorneys, witnesses, and lay people.
Arbiter Diamond is a graduate of NYU Law School and Binghamton University.
